NewBrand Technologies ("NewBrand", "we", "us") designs, develops and operates software, including the nbSMS school management system and the nbProfessional (nbPro LMS) learning management system. We work with businesses, institutions and organisations of any size.

When you contact us, request a quote or engage us for work, we collect the details you choose to provide: your name, email address, telephone number, organisation, role, and any information about your project, requirements or budget.

If you are a client, we also hold the commercial records needed to deliver and invoice for that work.

Like most websites, our servers record basic technical information when a page is requested: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, and the time of the request. We use this to keep the site secure, diagnose faults and understand aggregate traffic levels.

When we host or operate a product such as nbSMS or nbProfessional for an institution, the records held in that product — including student, staff, parent and academic records — belong to the institution. We process them only on the institution's instructions and under the applicable agreement.

If you are a student, parent or member of staff and want to access, correct or delete your record, please contact your institution first. They control that data; we act on their instructions.

We keep cookie use to a minimum. This website uses only what is necessary to serve pages and keep the site secure and reliable. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Where we measure traffic, we use aggregated figures rather than individual profiles.

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate — for example hosting, email and payment providers — under contracts that restrict how they may use it, or where we are required to do so by law.

Enquiry details are kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any resulting engagement. Client and financial records are kept for the period required by law and by our agreements. Records held inside a client's product are retained according to that client's instructions.

We use encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege permissions and regular review of our systems and dependencies. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we treat the protection of the data entrusted to us as a core part of the work.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to certain processing. Contact us and we will respond within a reasonable period.

If you believe we have handled your information improperly, you may also raise the matter with the relevant data protection authority in your jurisdiction.

Some of our products are used by schools and other educational institutions and therefore hold records relating to minors. Those records are controlled by the institution and handled under the applicable safeguarding and data protection rules.

This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from children through it.

We and our service providers may process information in countries other than the one in which you live. Where that happens, we take steps to ensure the information continues to receive an appropriate level of protection.

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
